Thailand China Science and Technology Collaboration under the Initiative of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Polar Science Research between five Thai organizations and Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC) and on Science and Technology Human Resources Development between the Office of Civil Service Commission (OCSC) and University of China Academy of Sciences (UCAS) on Friday, 19th August 2022 at 14:00 hrs. (Thailand) / 15:00 hrs (China), at Sra Pathum Palace (Thai partners) and online (Chinese partners) HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn as Chair for signing:
- MOU of Polar Science Research between five Thai organizations (NIDA, Office of National Science and Technology Development of Chulalongkorn University, Burapha University, and National Astrological Research Institute of China (PRIC). The research has commenced since 2016 for 10 Thai scientists and researchers (1-2 people per year) joining exploration and research with Chinese scientists of Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition (CHINARE or CHI-NA-RE for pronunciation) on the continent of Antarctica. The research includes impact on climate change which will be useful for disaster preparedness.
- MOU of Science and Technology Human Resources Development between the Office of Civil Service Commission (OCSC) and University of China Academy of Sciences (UCAS). The scholarship program has commenced since 2009 and has been awarded to 43 students of which 19 have graduated and are currently work at universities, research institutes, and government agencies, The scholarships have strengthened and supported key research and development such as water resource management, aerospace and GIS, electronic and digital technology, and astronomy.
